MAGTEC Transportation Advisory Council: MAGTEC listens to its customers and industry partners when determining the direction of new features and product offerings. MAGTEC’s Transportation Advisory Council meets regularly to discuss current issues, industry trends and possible methods to improve business operations from a safety and security standpoint. Major topics include finding new and creative ways to get a return on investment in security and safety initiatives, increasing profitability in the transportation of high-value goods and new practices, governance in the transportation of hazardous materials
and the security and protection of vehicles consistent with the
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Transportation
Security Administration (TSA).
Industry and Development Partners: The only thing better then a great product is one that operates on multiple platforms. This concept led MAGTEC to partner with some of the biggest players in the communication, security, software and technology industries.
These partnerships have allowed independent communication and software service providers to integrate directly with MAGTEC’s security products, creating ideal asset management services for their customers.

QUALCOMM: MAGTEC’s M5K(OCS) is interfaced with QUALCOMM’S Vehicle Command & Control system
(VCC), a web-based vehicle security and driver management service. Through QUALCOMM’s OmniTRACS®, a mobile communications platform, VCC enables dispatchers to manage and control the M5K remotely. Commercialization became available November 2006. |

MAGTEC’s M5K(OCS) has been integrated into PeopleNet’s g3 on-board computing and mobile communications system to provide an essential breadth of fleet control. Commercialization available as of February 2008. is one of the leading mobile communications and onboard computing providers in the business. Serving the unique and specific needs of fleets coast-to-coast and throughout Canada, PeopleNet's Fleet Manager (PFM) interfaces companies to their remote, on-board Magtec devices. |
